Just about every whistle I get needs to be restored.
It's actually pretty fun to play around and see what comes out of it.

This is a B&A five chime that I have the people at Cass to thank for helping me out with rebuilding the fins on it.

You can see the before and after shots. All I need is a handle.

This is the middle of the process before I painted it and cleaned the brass.

Here is quite possibly the most beautiful 3 chime I have ever heard. You can ask anybody up at Cass.

This particular whistle originally came from the Hudson Pulp and Paper mill, which was located on the Kennebec River, almost directly across the river from the state capital of Maine in the city of Augusta.

The whistle was operated off the main plant steam boiler usually with 150psi saturated steam. I tested it on #200 on the Shay at Cass and it is great.

I went to Cass this weekend, and recorded this whistle for your enjoyment, please listen up.
