Steam Whistles

Matthew Shawver

Matt is a train and whistle buff, so he built this website for others who would appreciate it. He's also a fan of anything West Virginia (Go Mountaineers, outdoors, old stuff, and more),  that is why most of this site contains railroads in WV. Matt lives in East Bank, right off the main line of the CSX between Cabin Creek and Paint Creek. He is a graduate from West Virginia University Institute of Technology in Business Management and Marketing. Since he was once a historian at Cass Scenic Railroad you can direct almost any questions about Cass his way and expect to get a correct/honest answer.

His site is also user friendly, if you would like to see something on it, all you have to do is send it to him. Items about the C&O, and Steam Whistles.

"This site is dedicated to my father George W. Shawver April 3, 1939 - April 14, 2004. He loved my site, It's one thing he was truly proud of."
